Blind Man, Service Dog Hit Crossing Street In Morristown
The man and the dog were taken to local hospitals as a result of the crash.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A blind pedestrian and his service dog were hit crossing the street in Morristown on Saturday, Morristown Police Lt. Stuart Greer told media outlets.
The man, a 61-year-old township resident, was crossing the intersection of South and DeHart Street with his guide dog around 9:20 a.m. on Saturday when they were struck, Greer told Morris NewsBee.
The driver, a 54-year-old Succasunna woman, told police she didn't see the pair and couldn't stop in time, Greer told the Daily Record. She was issued a summons for failing to yield to a blind person crossing, Greer said.

At his request, the pedestrian was taken to Morristown Medical Center because of leg pain. The dog was taken to the Morristown Animal Hospital as a precaution.
