Kitchen Gardens

Did you know the first recorded tomato grown in New Jersey was at Macculloch Hall? The Maccullochs tracked all the fruits and vegetables grown in their kitchen garden, including tomatoes! Families are invited to join us in the garden to explore the fruits and vegetables grown at Macculloch Hall in the 19th century through hands-on activities. Spend time in the Teaching Beds picking ripe produce or doing an art project in the garden.

Ages 3+. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian

These programs are funded, in part, with support from The Astle-Alpaugh Family Foundation. Pre-registration is required.

Pre-registration is required. Each program is $20 per family unit, up to 6 people, and free to Museum members at the Family level and above.

If you are unable to attend after registering, you must let Macculloch Hall Historical Museum know at least two days before the program for a full refund of registration fee.
