Natural Dyeing
Explore the historic techniques of natural dyeing. Many natural dyes can be found growing in the garden and provide a rich rainbow of colors to dye fabric. Make your own naturally dyed tea towel using a combination of dyes. Participants will explore the history of textiles and how clothing was made in the 19th century.
Ages 3+. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
These programs are funded, in part, with support from The Astle-Alpaugh Family Foundation. Pre-registration is required.
Pre-registration is required. Each program is $20 per family unit, up to 6 people, and free to Museum members at the Family level and above.
If you are unable to attend after registering, you must let Macculloch Hall Historical Museum know at least two days before the program for a full refund of registration fee.
