On the first part of the contra
I was looking at all the life
There were heys and stars and spins and things
There was box the gnat and swings

The first thing I met was a Tern passing through
And no frowns to be found
The floor was full and the spirit high
And the air was full of sound

I’ve been to the contra with A Band With No Name
It felt good to be out of the rain
At the contra, Sue will remember your name
‘Cause for to dance at Tern will give you no pain

SUE GOLA
A long-time contra dancer, Sue Gola was drawn into calling contras in 2014. Since then, she has called at dances both large and small throughout the Northeast. Sue gives instructions concisely and clearly and has a friendly way about her that makes dancers feel welcome. Video at https://youtu.be/07xx2KCJV70?si=ISTX5FAsin4KLvHG&t=169

A BAND WITH NO NAME
A Band With No Name features Michael Gorin on fiddle; and Helen White on flute and percussion. The third musician currently being confirmed is likely to be Mark Ettinger on piano.
