The 2026 KOH Gail MacNeil &amp; Diane Castle Morristown Ovarian Cancer Walk will happen on Sunday,  September 20, 2026 .  Taking place at Loantaka Brook Park, this walk is scenic, flat, and shady.  Dogs are allowed!  Please remember to pre-register your dog.  Food and refreshments will be provided.  Tote bag for registrants as supplies last.  Your choice of 1 mile or 3 miles walk.  You can decide your distance at the starting line.

“Eloquent trumpet prodigy” Mike Davis (Wall Street Journal) has a voice beyond his years on his instrument. His playing is imbued with the sounds of prohibition-era speakeasies, Hoovervilles of the depression, and glittering jazz palaces of the swing era, creating a timeless cocktail of American music. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Mike began his trumpet instruction at age nine with Jerry Oram in Seattle and went on to study with Laurie Frink during his undergraduate years. Both encouraged his interest in early jazz styles, which led to his beginning to work professionally in New York City while still in college. He now appears regularly around New York City as the leader of the New Wonders and with Dandy Wellington and his band, Emily Asher’s Garden Party, Glenn Crytzer, Terry Waldo, Baby Soda, Dan Levinson, and many other traditional jazz and swing bands. A regular at the celebrated jam session at Mona’s Bar, Mike is one of the vanguard of young musicians bringing traditional jazz to the forefront of the NYC music scene.
<h3>Back Deck Visitor Information and Guidelines</h3>
Attendees must bring their own chairs and are welcome to bring refreshments. Guests are encouraged to bring standard-height outdoor chairs for the most comfortable seating experience. Tickets are $63 for an 8’x8’ block that accommodates up to two patrons or $33 for a block that accommodates one. There is a $3 handling fee per block included in the price. Concerts begin at 7:30 PM. Patrons are welcome to arrive as early as 6:30 PM to enjoy their picnics. In the event of inclement weather, outdoor performances will be held in the Museum’s Bickford Theatre, general admission. The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms

The Stickley Museum will celebrate fall harvest and the property’s agricultural history with its 14th Fall Family Day on Saturday, September 19, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Returning for the first time since 2019, Fall Family Day has been expanded and is the museum’s biggest family program of the year, offering a day of old-fashioned fun for the young and young-at-heart. Activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin painting, games and races, handcraft demonstrations such as woodworking, embroidery and pottery, scavenger hunts, and craft activities. Performances by the Denville String Band will take place and food will be available for purchase through Apple Spice Junction.
Inside the Log House, guided tours will be suspended for the day. Families will instead be invited to explore the Log House at their own pace with volunteers and docents available to answer any questions they might have. Pioneer Productions is thrilled to announce encore performances of their production of Heidi Schreck’s What the Constitution Means to Me.
 Following a sold-out run of the show in downtown Morristown earlier 
this year, the original cast and production team have partnered with the
 Morris Museum to present an encore weekend in September 2026. Join us for a post-show discussion on September 20th with ACLU-NJ staff member DaWuan Norwood, Policy Counsel, and others.
Pioneer Production’s Artistic Director, Dan Vissers, directs 
Schreck’s boundary-breaking play that breathes new life into our 
Constitution and imagines how it will shape the next generation of 
Americans. Fifteen-year-old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning 
Constitutional debate competitions across the United States. In this 
hilarious, hopeful, and achingly human play, she resurrects her teenage 
self to trace the profound relationship between four generations of 
women and the founding document that shaped their lives.
What the Constitution Means to Me won the Obie Award for 
Best New American Play and the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for 
Best American Play. The play was also nominated for the Tony Award for 
Best Play and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
The cast features veteran Pioneer actor Miriam Salerno as Heidi, whose performance has recently earned her a 2026 NJACT Perry Award Nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play (the award will be announced in October).&nbsp;The cast also includes Ben Weisman as the Legionnaire and Ashlee Vissers as the Debater.

An Essex County home inspector has built a free website that lets anyone look up the public records behind a New Jersey property &mdash; building permits, flood zones, fire history, property taxes, and more &mdash; by typing in an address.
The site, Permit &amp; Parcel (oprasearch.app), covers all 564 New Jersey municipalities and pulls only from official sources: state and county databases, FEMA flood maps, and the towns' own municipal codes. There's no account, no email capture, and no cost.
"I kept watching buyers fall in love with a house before anyone checked the paper trail &mdash; the open permits, the flood zone, what the town actually requires when a home changes hands," said Leo Betancor, a Certified Master Inspector based in Cedar Grove and the founder of the site. "All of that is public record. It just wasn't in one place anyone could actually use."
Alongside the main lookup, the site includes free single-purpose tools: a lead-safe inspection lookup showing which of the two state-required inspection methods each town uses under New Jersey's lead paint law, a searchable directory of every DCA-certified lead evaluation and abatement contractor sorted by distance, a fire-incident map built from more than 40 years of state fire records, and a radon map covering every municipality.
A companion site, njflood.zone, gives instant FEMA flood-zone answers for any New Jersey address &mdash; built after the federal government shutdown left FEMA's own map site unreliable &mdash; running on the site's own servers with the complete flood map data for the state loaded locally.
The project was recently featured in <a href="https://www.tapinto.net/towns/east-hanover-slash-florham-park/columns/at-home-with-holly/articles/deep-dive-conversations-what-the-house-won-t-tell-you" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">TAPinto</a>'s "At Home with Holly" column.
