Go behind the curtain with New Jersey Ballet Artistic Director Maria Kowroski for an intimate evening of conversation, performance, and artistic discovery. Join us at the Morris Museum as Maria Kowroski shares insights into New Jersey Ballet’s upcoming 2026–2027 season and reflects on the experiences that have shaped her artistic vision. A former principal dancer with New York City Ballet for more than 25 years, Kowroski performed many of the most celebrated works in the classical and contemporary ballet repertoire while working closely with some of the world’s leading choreographers and artistic innovators. Through conversation and live performance excerpts by New Jersey Ballet artists, audiences will gain a unique perspective on the creative process behind building a season, selecting repertory, nurturing dancers, and honoring ballet’s rich traditions while embracing new artistic voices.
