Greater Morristown YMCA to Host Pumpkin Flashlight Hunt & Trunk-or-Treat

CEDAR KNOLLS, NJ — The Greater Morristown YMCA is getting into the fall spirit with its Pumpkin Flashlight Hunt & Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 17, at the Richard F. Blake Children’s Center, located at 65 Horsehill Road in Cedar Knolls.

The afternoon will kick off at 2:00 PM with a free Trunk-or-Treat, where families can make their way through decorated vehicles and collect treats. The Trunk-or-Treat will run until 5:00 PM and is free to attend. Community members are also invited to join the fun by registering a vehicle, decorating it with a creative theme, and providing treats for children. Click Here to Sign Up Your Car to Pass Out Candy.

At 2:30 PM, the YMCA’s Pumpkin Flashlight Hunt & Fall Festival will begin. Designed especially for children ages 3–5, families will explore the slightly darkened Blake Center Gym in groups as they search for hidden pumpkins filled with candy, toys, and special prizes. Admission to the Pumpkin Flashlight Hunt also includes the Fall Festival, featuring games and a Hot Chocolate & Cider Table.

Admission is $15 for the first child and $10 for each additional child from the same household. Same-day registration is $20 per child. The Trunk-or-Treat portion of the event remains free for families to attend.

Proceeds from the event will help support Greater Morristown YMCA Youth & Family programming, making this fall celebration a fun way for local families to enjoy the season while supporting programs for children and families in the community.

Registration for the Pumpkin Flashlight Hunt & Fall Festival can be completed through the Greater Morristown YMCA Membership Portal at greatermorristownymca.org.
