CASA Raises Funds for Child Advocacy at Casino Night
CASA Casino Night raised unrestricted funds for CASA programs, and increased awareness of the plight of children in the foster care system.

Morristown, NJ—On Thursday, April 19th, 2018 Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Morris and Sussex Counties held its annual gala event at The Park Savoy Estate in Florham Park, NJ. CASA Casino Night brought community members together for a fun-filled evening of friendship, great food, and casino games. The event also celebrated CASA’s 31st year of bringing better tomorrows to the community’s most vulnerable children.
CASA Casino Night raised unrestricted funds for CASA programs, and increased awareness of the plight of children in the foster care system. These children have been victims of abuse and neglect, removed from their homes, and placed in foster care. Local law firms and businesses supported the event by providing sponsorships, journal ads, and gifts.
“Our Casino Night was an evening of energy and passion; members of the community came together to make a difference. The money raised from this event will help our organization to expand our programs and enhance the advocacy we provide to children in foster care,” said CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties’ Executive Director, Dr. Lisa Barsky Firkser.
