With Clinic Coming Up, Morristown Nears 70% Of Adults Vaccinated

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown is almost there. Sixty-eight percent of Morristown adults are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.

The state set a goal for 70 percent of its adults to get fully vaccinated against the virus by July 1, which is Thursday. Although the deadline gives towns, counties and the state a way to measure their vaccination progress, that doesn't mean the push to get shots in arms ends at that time.

Zufall Health will host a Pfizer clinic for people 12 and older from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Margaret's Church (6 Sussex Ave.). The date for second doses is July 22. See information below on making appointments:

Several pop-up clinic events have taken place in Morristown during recent weeks. Fifty-five people received shots June 16 at a pop-up site in the Town Hall parking lot.

Here are Morristown's vaccine numbers as of Tuesday morning, according to state officials:

  • People with at least one dose: 70 percent of all ages, 80 percent of adults (18 and over) and 100 percent of seniors (65 and over).
  • People fully vaccinated: 60 percent of all ages, 68 percent of adults and 92 percent of seniors.

Morris County officials have reported six new COVID-19 cases in Morristown since June 17.
