Cosy Cupboard Kicks Off Fall Jazz Series Sept. 21
The Cosy Cupboard Tea Room is launching its Fall Jazz Series on Sept. 21.

CONVENT STATION, NJ – Cosy Cupboard Tearoom, 4 Old Turnpike Rd., announces its 2017 Fall Jazz Series kickoff, 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, with Vocalist PJ Parker and Pianist Lee Tomboulian.
As a jazz vocalist, PJ has worked with Harry Leahey, Steve Gilmore, Joel Frahm, Jerry Bruno and Gary Mazzaroppi, and has numerous songwriting accolades and credits in film and television. PJ performs regularly throughout the New York-New Jersey area.

Composer/pianist/accordionist Lee Tomboulian leads the Weekly Reeders, Circo, and a Jazz trio. He teaches at LIU-Post and has played with Maria Schneider, Kenny Wheeler, Benny Golson, Terell Stafford, Winard Parker, the late Eddie Harris and many more.
“We are so pleased to be bringing back the Thursday Jazz Series to Cosy Cupboard, starting with the Fall Series which kicks off this Thursday, Sept. 21, with Vocalist PJ Parker and Pianist Lee Tomboulian,” said Cosy Cupboard proprietor James Howard.

Oct. 19
Arturo: Guitarist, musical director and arranger; his music is eclectic with a strong emphasis on the Great American Songbook and Brazilian Bossa Nova.
Nov. 16
Guitarist Carol Hamersma and Bassist Stephen Burke. Carol is a familiar NJ jazz persona, performing regularly in her own group, Jazzmyn, with bassist Steve Burke. “Like her guitar, her vocalizing is understated, simple, but effective in getting the lyrics across, and she can swing.” – All About Jazz.
Bassist Steve Burke: Bassist, arranger and vocal soloist, he teaches at Seton Hall University, Morrisville (Pa.) High School, and Pro Line Music, Pa. He is presently also performing as part of Jazzmyn and with the Carol Hamersma Trio.
Dec. 21
Rio Clemente, Pianist. Morristown Hall of Famer, Jazz pianist, composer, band leader and educator, Juilliard-trained, Rio has performed at the White House, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
