Council Taps New CFO, Assistant Treasurer in Morristown

Town's financial chief is fourth in as many years, report says.

The Morristown Council formally approved its fourth Chief Financial Officer in as many years this week, hoping this one will stay for the long haul.

According to morristowngreen.com, Frank Mason is now the town’s head of finance and has a $137,000 salary. Mason comes from the same position in Montclair.

Mason fills the position left by Ann Cucci, who left for Parsippany in August, the report said.

Along with the hiring of Mason, the council also approved the hiring of an assistant treasurer, Katie Lorito, for $64,000. The position was recently created by Mayor Tim Dougherty, the report said. Lorito comes from the same position in Parsippany.
