Bowman Consulting is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant/Receptionist to provide general office help in a fast-paced environment to join our team. You’ll support our Civil Engineering team in all phases of including administrative support, proposals, project tracking, clerical, scheduling, and more. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Assist staff with daily activities and projects including scheduling and proposals

  • Handle all incoming mail; scan, date, distribute and file
  • Receiving and screening telephone calls; answering questions; and taking accurate messages
  • Maintain office supplies inventory; anticipate needed supplies; place and expedite orders for supplies
  • Liaison to Corporate Marketing Department; trade show participation
  • Coordinate RFP-RFQ research, proposals, and tracking
  • Organize and maintain file system, file correspondence and other records
  • Perform other administrative duties such as coding documents, copying, binding, data entry, etc.
  • Assist other administrative team members as needed
  • Perform special projects as assigned

  Position Requirements:


·         High School diploma or GED required; 2 years’ post-high school education or Associates Degree strongly preferred

·         Minimum of five (5) years’ professional administrative experience 

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Excellent organization and attention to detail

·         Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills

·         Ability to work independently and collaboratively

·         Proven ability to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload

·         Professional appearance, approach and demeanor

·         Must be dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
