Doggy Blow Out Bar Opening In Morristown

Now your dog can enjoy the same blow out you do.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A new way to pamper your dog is here in Morristown: a doggy blow out bar at Morris Animal Inn.

While staying at the inn, dogs can now get a brush, blow out and "scented spritz," for when you want your dog to be groomed without a full bath, Joanne Morris, vice president of Morris Animal Inn, said.

“When dogs don’t need a complete bath or grooming, a blow out is a convenient alternative,” said Morris. “Blow outs are quickly becoming popular options for our day care clients, especially following fun activities in daycare or swims in our indoor pool.”

The doggy blow out bar is staffed by professional groomers. Dog spa experiences can be customized, and include paw massages, blueberry facials, and haircut packages. Services cost between $25 and $30.

Doggy pampering isn't new, but the options have gotten more luxurious in recent years. Some dog kennels-- called dog "resorts"-- offer massages, cardio-joggers, bath treatments and "pawicures," the New York Times reported.

Luxury, however, comes at a price. Americans were expected to spend $69 billion on their furry friends in 2017, the American Pet Products Association told Fox.
