Downed Tree Closes Lanes Of Rt. 287 In Parsippany
Breaking: Another section of the road is affected by a downed tree, hours after one was cleared. The township is also seeing power outages.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A downed tree has closed lanes of Route 287 Friday afternoon, NJDOT said.
As of 1:23 p.m., a downed tree has closed lanes of Route 287 northbound in Parsippany. It's not clear if there are any delays, or how long it will take to remove the tree.
The right three lanes of 287 south were closed for about an hour near Exit 35 because of another downed tree. That tree appears to have been cleared from the roadway.

In addition, 1,012 homes are without power in Parsippany. JCP&L says it's not known when power will be restored.
As a nor'easter works its way across the county, towns are reporting power outages and road problems. There are currently 11,580 people without power county wide.
