Downed Trees Affecting Routes 80, 287, 202

Breaking: Lanes are closed due to multiple downed trees.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Downed trees are affecting several major highways in central Morris County during the Tuesday rush hour, NJ DOT said.

A powerful storm has caused downed trees around the county, but many of the major highway closures are in central Morris. Routes 80, 287 and 202 all have lane closures and delays as of 5:54 p.m.:

  • As of 5:53pm, there's a Downed tree on I-80 eastbound at Exit 43 - I-287 (Parsippany-Troy Hills Twp) all lanes closed and detoured use caution
  • As of 5:27pm, there's a Downed tree on I-287 southbound area of Exit 40 - CR 511/Parsippany Rd in Parsippany-Troy Hills Twp. 1 to 2 lanes closed 10 minute delay.
  • As of 5:16pm, there's a Downed tree on US 202 southbound area of NJ 10 in Morris Plains. All lanes closed and detoured 10 minute delay.
  • As of 5:11pm, there's a Downed tree on I-80 westbound at Exit 35 - Mount Hope Av in Rockaway Twp. Ramp closed.
  • As of 5:10pm, there's a Downed tree on I-287 southbound ramp to eastbound Exit 39 - NJ 10 in Hanover Twp. Right lane closed.
