MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Some runaway pallets of eggs caused traffic disruption on a Morris County highway early Tuesday morning, fire officials said.

Around midnight on Tuesday, the Budd Lake Fire Department was called to Route 46 and Mount Olive Road for debris clean-up.

Fire officials said that they found the “egg-zact” issue when they arrived, a pallet of eggs had fallen off a vehicle and scrambled across Route 46.

As officials cleaned up the mess, they learned of a second incident on the ramp from 80 eastbound to 46, where another pallet of eggs was found sprawled across the road.

Both sites were cleaned up, and the road is now operating normally.
