Ducklings Rescued From Morris Co. Storm Drain
A group of police and local residents helped ten baby ducks to safety after the fell down a storm drain.

MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ — It was late at night when three women from Mountain Lakes entered the police department looking for help. None of the three were in trouble, but they still needed police: ten ducklings had fallen into a storm drain and gotten stuck, and the women wanted to help them out.
Lindsey Hunter, Megan Beltran, and Meghan Cuozzo told police they found the ducks in the bottom of a storm drain on May 21, on North Pocono. Officer Walsh and Sgt. Piombino opened the drain and Piombino climbed down inside of it.
Together, all ten baby ducks were rescued and taken to The Raptor Trust for rehabilitation.
