Election Day In Morristown: When, Where To Vote

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The general election is only weeks away, and Morristown residents will be able to cast their votes on several state and local races.

This year, there are three ways to vote, and a number of decisions to make, including an election for governor.

Here's what to know ahead of this year's elections:

The Rundown

• Election date: Nov. 2

Who And What Are On The Ballot?

• Governor's race: Gov. Murphy is running for re-election this year against Republican Jack Ciattarelli, Madelyn Hoffman (Green Party), Gregg Mele (Libertarian) and Joanne Kuniansky (Socialist Workers Party).
• State Senate: In New Jersey's 25th District, Republican incumbent Anthony M. Bucco is running against Democratic challenger Jeffrey Grayzel.
• General Assembly: Republican incumbents Brian Bergen and Aura K. Dunn face off against Democrats Lauren Barnett and Patricia L. Veres.
• Board of County Commissioners: The race features three Democrats (Thomas "T.C." McCourt, Aaron "A.J." Oliver and Dina Mikulka), three Republicans (Deborah Smith, John Krickus and Stephen H. Shaw, and Ederle Vaughan, of the Working Families Party.
• Mayor: Democratic candidate Tim Dougherty is running unopposed.
• Town Council: Three council at-large positions are up for grabs. The Democratic ticket features Toshiba Foster, David Silva and Nathan Umbriac. The independent slate includes Kristi Dimogerodakis, Michelle Harris and John Thomas, Jr.
• Morris School District Board of Education: Vivian Rodriguez is running unopposed to represent Morristown.

Where And How To Vote

Early voting: In-person, early voting in Morris County runs from Oct. 23-31. The sites will operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

• Central Park of Morris County: 2 Executive Dr., Morris Plains
• Denville: 1 Saint Mary's Pl.
• Hanover: 15 N. Jefferson Rd.
• Madison: 28 Walnut St.
• Morristown: 200 South St.
• Mount Arlington: 18 North Glen Ave.
• Mount Olive: 204 Flanders-Drakestown Rd.

Mail-in ballots: Voters can submit a vote-by-mail application until Oct. 26. Morris County residents voting by mail must get their applications to the following address:

Vote in-person on Election Day: Residents may vote in-person at their assigned polling location from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 2. Specific polling locations will be listed on sample ballots, but can also be found here.
