Women's Flat-Track Roller Derby

Join Morristown's women's roller derby team, the Jerzey Derby Brigade's Corporal Punishers, on their home turf Saturday, Aug. 28th at the Inline Morristown, 38 Dumont Place, in Morristown, NJ as they skate their way to victory against Utica, NY's Blue Collar Betties. Come watch the short-skirted thrills, whips, dodges, and spills that have revived the sport of women's roller derby.

Seating is available on the track so that you may witness the exciting, full-contact, and fast-paced nature that IS derby!

Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance from brownpapertickets.com (search Corporal Punishers) or from your favorite JDB roller girl! Tickets can also be purchased for $12 at the door on the day of the event. Events are family-friendly and guaranteed to entertain fans of all ages! Children under the age of 12 are free! Senior citizen and military discounts (with ID) are also available for $5. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs, as seating is limited and large crowds are anticipated.

Founded in January 2010, The Jerzey Derby Brigade (JDB) has one team under its name, The Corporal Punishers; However, as the league is rapidly growing with over 40 members, a second team, The Major Pains, is anticipated but will not be ready to "roll" until 2011. Skaters in the JDB are mothers, daughters, teachers, lawyers, nurses, and professionals by day, but with names like Doom Hilda, Lawless Lizzie, Raven Rage, Miss USA Hole, and Pixie Bust, they assume new identities as they skate to dominate on the track.

The JDB is a skater owned and operated organization. We are currently recruiting female skaters (ages 18 and older) of all abilities, and male or female referees, support staff, and volunteers! For more information regarding press passes, recruitment, or sponsorship opportunities, please contact league president, Doom Hilda at info@jerzeyderby.com. Visit us on Facebook and at jerzeyderby.com. Come check us out and support your local roller girls!
