FALL BRAWL: Corporal Punishers vs. Three Rivers Roller Derby
Morristown, NJ – After taking a summer break to hone their skills and beat the heat and humidity, the Jerzey Derby Brigade's Corporal Punishers return to their home track at Inline Morristown on Saturday, October 1 to defend against a new opponent: Three Rivers Roller Derby of Elkton, MD.
The Corporal Punishers have had an eventful second season, including two interleague victories: a nail-biting match-up against the Salisbury Roller Girls of Salisbury, MD, that ended in a one-point win, and a landslide win against the Black River Rollers of Watertown, NY. The Jerzey Derby Brigade means to continue to make a name for itself in women's flat track roller derby beyond the borders of New Jersey, and taking on their sisters to the south will be yet another giant step for the Corporal Punishers, who represent the best and most seasoned skaters in this league of more than 40 women.
The roller girls like to start off the Halloween festivities early, so there will be candy! The afterparty will be held at the Famished Frog's Sidebar immediately following the bout.
Tickets are available for $10 through brownpapertickets.com or from your favorite Jerzey Derby Brigade skater, or for $12 at the door. Discount tickets are available for seniors, students, and military personnel with ID. Kids aged 12 and under get in for free, and ages 12-17 get in for $5.
