Exhibit by Medy Bozkurtian - Morris County Library April, 2018

Over 40 original watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings will be displayed and for sale in the Main Gallery of Morris County Library in April

The Morris County Library is pleased to welcome back East Hanover artist, Medy Bozkurtian, and her latest original paintings in Watercolor, Oils and Acrylics. Medy’s art is inspired by her world travels and her love of music, people and nature. She captures the essence of her subjects with expressive realism, a hint of impressionism and abstract expressionism. Her paintings have been in juried exhibits at the Salmagundi Club and the National Arts Gallery in NYC, as well as group and solo shows in prominent public spaces in the tri-state area.

Medy started drawing and piano at a very early age in her native Bulgaria, and later studied piano pedagogy at the Juilliard School of Music and oil painting at the Art Students’ League, both in NYC. She studied watercolor painting at the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts and with noted watercolorists around the world like Alavaro Castagnet, Carl Burger, John Salminen, Robert Burridge and others.

Medy is an Elected Member and Fellow of the American Artists Professional League in NYC and a signature member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club in NYC, the Northeast Watercolor Society, the Garden State Watercolor Society and Essex Water Color Club, where she recently served as President. Her work has been represented and sold by Design Domaine Gallery in Bernardsville, Art Chateau Gallery in Chester, and Alfa Art Gallery in New Brunswick, NJ, and is in private and corporate collections in the US and Europe.
