Family Success Center Opens Satellite Office in Morristown
Health services, social services, job assistance and more to help families before they find themselves in crisis.

A new organization has opened its doors to Morristown residents geared to help struggling families before they reach crisis point.
Carlos Caprioli came to Tuesday night’s Morristown Council meeting to share that news and spread the word about the Morris County Family Success Center and their new satellite office at 120 Speedwell Avenue.
“Our goal is to provide information on social services, access to health, access to education and access to housing,” Caprioli said. “We have different philosophy. We work in cooperation with agencies that already work in town.”

Caprioli is in charge of the Dover-based center which provides services to families and their children and according to the Human Services Advisory Council the Morris County Family Success Center is “Under the Division of Children and Families, the Division of Family and Community Partnerships (DFCP) of the State of New Jersey.
The center receives funds from a statewide network of Family Success Centers that were developed as one-stop shops to provide resources and supports for families before they find themselves in crisis.

“Basically the reason why I asked to come here today is we want the people of Morristown to be aware of us,” Caprioli said. “We share activities with the Salvation Army and we are looking forward to working with other agencies as well.”
Caprioli also adjunct professor at the Gateway Program at Fairleigh Dickinson University that services new arrivals to this country who attend college and instruction in their own language. He said that Morristown has a large Hispanic population that would benefit from the services offered by the Family Success Center.
Some of those offerings include:
· Information about health services for women, children and family members.
· Referrals to public and private social services.
· Information about safe and affordable housing.
· Assistance with job searches and preparation for employment interviews.
· Assistance with interpretation and completion of forms.
· Family activities for parents and children of all ages.
· Parenting classes.
· Senior activities.
Councilwoman Rebecca Feldman thanked Caprioli for his presentation.
