Fatal Car Crash In Morris Co. Remains Under Investigation

The 32-year-old driver ran off a highway ramp and crashed into multiple trees in Morris County, police said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Stanhope man was killed Thursday afternoon after running off a highway ramp and crashing into multiple trees in Morris County, according to state police.

Luke Muller, 32, was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix on the Route 206 south ramp to Interstate 80 east in Mount Olive when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and crashed into several trees, according to New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota.

Authorities were called to the scene shortly after 3 p.m. where they found the motorist suffered fatal injuries in the crash, Slota said.

The cause of the crash was still being investigated, and no additional information was made available.
