Fatal Hit And Run In Morristown Under Investigation By Prosecutor
A 27-year-old township man died of his injuries ten days after the crash.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A fatal hit and run in Morristown is currently under investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor's office, the prosecutor confirmed on Thursday.
Victor Padilla, Jr., age 27, of Morristown, was struck by a car while crossing Martin Luther King Avenue in Morristown the night of June 27, prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said. Padilla died of his injuries on July 7 at Morristown Medical Center.
The car left the scene, but police say they located it shortly afterwards. An investigation into the circumstances are ongoing, Knapp said. No charges have been filed at this point.
