Former Heart Patient from Atlantic Health System's Morristown Medical Center Fulfills Dream with New York Jets

On May 29th, 2018, Harold Arnold of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania was rushed by his wife to Atlantic Health System’s Morristown Medical Center with chest pain. His case was a true emergency, and his heart valve began leaking while he was being transported to the cardiac cath lab for a procedure. There, not only did the cardiac surgery team replace Harold’s aortic valve with a minimally invasive approach, they did so while he was in full cardiac arrest while another team was performing CPR.

Today, Harold served as the honorary captain for the coin toss prior to kickoff for the New York Jets vs. New England Patriots game. Harold not only made a full recovery, but six months after this extraordinary event he fulfilled a childhood dream of being on the field with his favorite NFL team.
