Former Morristown Councilman, Longtime Resident Dies at 86
Joseph Leidy was a town official during the construction of Headquarters Plaza, report says.

Joseph Leidy played an instrumental part in the construction of one of Morristownās most notable buildings.
The longtime Morristown resident died recently at 86, according to his obituary.
Leidy was a Morristown councilman and planning board member during the 1970s and was involved in the master plan and approval of Headquarters Plaza on Speedwell Avenue, according to morristowngreen.com.

Leidy also served on the committee that transformed the rectory at Redeemer Church into the Eric Johnson House, a residence for those living with HIV and AIDS, the report said.
Leidy is survived by his wife, Kay, of 37 years, two sons, two daughters, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
