Free New Year's Eve Narcan Training In Morris County
Kits will be distributed with the training on the Morristown Green Tuesday.

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Before first night in Morris kicks off Tuesday the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Hope One mobile substance abuse outreach program will be holding a free narcan training on the Morristown Green.
Narcan is a medication used to block the effects of opioids and can be used as a life-saving measure for overdose victims, officials said.
Hope One will be on the Morristown Green from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, providing assistance to people with substance abuse disorders and mental health concerns, or their family and friends.

Peer recovery specialists, professionals who have overcome addiction to pass on their knowledge, will be on Hope One instructing people how to administer Narcan and dispensing free Narcan kits to take home.
