“Go Blue” event raises funds for CASA
Local Law Firms, Schools, and Businesses Support Advocacy for Abused and Neglected Children

Morristown, NJ, May 2, 2018—Last month, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Morris and Sussex Counties partnered with local school districts, law firms, and businesses in Morris and Sussex Counties for its annual “Go Blue for CASA” fundraiser.
In an effort to raise awareness for children in foster care, NJ’s Governor Phil Murphy designated Friday, April 6th, as “CASA Child Advocate Day.” CASA recognized this day by inviting the community to “Go Blue” by wearing denim to school or work. In exchange for wearing blue, each participant donated $5 to CASA.
The goal of this event was not only to raise funds to support daily advocacy for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect, but also to heighten awareness of the plight of the community’s most vulnerable children.
