Goryeb Children's Hospital Celebrates Star Wars Day: Video
The force was strong at the Morristown hospital on Star Wars Day.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — The force was strong at Goryeb Children’s Hospital last Thursday, as children celebrated Star Wars Day.
This is the second year the hospital has celebrated the holiday, and members of the 501st Legion: Northeast Remnant came dressed in their movie best.
The fourth of May became a defacto day to celebrate the blockbuster series, because the date (May the fourth) sounds like the popular phrase, "may the force be with you."

The event is a favorite among the children, and helps brighten their spirits.
“The children get excited when they see characters here, and one of the things that’s really great is this helps normalize their experience from being in a hospital to something that’s resembling something they would experience outside," Danielle Marcello, a nurse manager at Goryeb Children’s Hospital, said of the day.
