Excited About The Morris County's St. Patrick's Day Parade? Gov. Murphy Has Good News
Morristown's parade didn't happen the last two years. But Gov. Phil Murphy sees 'no reason to cancel' St. Patrick's Day parades this year.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Do you miss the Morris County St. Patrick's Day Parade during its nearly three-year hiatus? If so, Gov. Phil Murphy has some encouraging news.
With St. Patrick's Day parades set for next month, Murphy sees "no reason to cancel" the events.
"We should go ahead," Murphy said at Monday's state coronavirus news briefing. "Be responsible. Be smart, particularly when you’re indoors. But by definition, a parade is outside."

Morris County's St. Patrick's Day parade — perhaps New Jersey's largest for the holiday — will take place at noon March 12 in Morristown.
The event was canceled each of the past two years because of COVID-19. The 2020 event coincided with New Jersey's initial coronavirus outbreak, which sparked lockdown measures. Organizers hoped to hold a parade in September of that year but had to cancel.
