How Labor Day Will Affect Garbage Pickup In Morristown

This weekend can bring rest and relaxation, but make sure you leave your garbage out on the right day.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Labor Day can bring rest and relaxation for many, but it's not so fun when you leave your garbage out on the wrong day. The holiday will affect Morristown's garbage pickup schedule, as the town won't collect trash Monday.

Here are the upcoming schedules:

North Zone

  • Labor Day: no pickup
  • Tuesday, Sept. 7: household garbage
  • Wednesday, Sept. 8: mixed paper
  • Friday, Sept. 10: household garbage and large trash

South Zone

  • Labor Day: no pickup
  • Tuesday, Sept. 7: household garbage; appliances, metals, electronics, car tires and car batteries
  • Wednesday, Sept. 8: mixed paper
  • Thursday, Sept. 9: household garbage and large trash
