MORRISTOWN, NJ ā With New Jersey cases and omicron concerns rising, see the recent rate of infections, hospital capacities and other important local coronavirus news around Greater Morristown.
Morris County averaged 244 infections per day in the past week, according to the New Jersey Department of Health. That's more than triple the amount of daily new cases this week a month ago, when the county averaged 79.

- Morristown saw 74 new cases in the past eight days, bringing the town to 2,622 cases since the pandemic began. That's an increase of 2.26 percent to Morristown's case total in eight days.
- Officials reported 82 Morris Township infections in that timespan, putting the township at 2,042 cases since the pandemic began. The case total increased by 4.18 percent since Dec. 8.
- Morris Plains's case total jumped from 705 to 727 since Dec. 8 ā a 3.12 percent increase.

- Kindred Hospital New Jersey - Morris County (Dover): ICU bed data unavailable
- Overlook Medical Center (Summit): 24.07 percent of ICU beds available
- Saint Barnabas Medical Center (Livingston): 50 percent of ICU beds available
