How Much Is COVID Spreading In Morris County With Delta Emerging?
The variant accounted for more than half of NJ cases over a four-week period. Here's the town-by-town case growth rate in Morris County.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Morris County and New Jersey have seen an uptick in coronavirus cases. But what does that mean for each town? (See town-by-town totals below.)
The county averaged 36 new cases per day in the past week, while averaging 21 new daily cases the prior week, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.
Despite the recent growth in new cases, that may mean only a few new infections a week in certain towns — or none in smaller municipalities.

But officials continue to monitor the delta variant, which accounted for 53.2 percent of coronavirus cases in New Jersey over a four-week period ending on July 3, CDC numbers show.
"It's twice as infectious," Andy Slavitt, a former member of President Joe Biden's Covid Response Team, told CNN. "Fortunately, unlike 2020, we actually have a tool that stops the delta variant in its tracks: It's called vaccine."
