Hummus Republic Has Opened In Morristown
The 'modern Mediterranean kitchen' opened Tuesday on South Street.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — A much-anticipated restaurant has finally arrived in Morristown. Hummus Republic, a "modern Mediterranean kitchen" opened Tuesday at 66 South St.
The largely plant-based, fast-casual restaurant lets people customize their meals. First, pick a wrap, pita or bowl. Then choose from different bases, including organic Mediterranean couscous, kale and warm garbanzo beans. Then choose a hummus, a protein and add toppings.
Hummus Republic specializes in "healthier, faster, fresher, lighter and tastier customizable bowls, baguette and pitas," its website says. "Our food is always made fresh and served quickly using organic, sustainable, and locally grown ingredients whenever possible.

Most of its locations are in California, but they've expanded to the East Coast. Morristown is Hummus Republic's second New Jersey location, behind Long Branch.
