Interfaith Food Pantry Accepting Holiday Donations

Pantry seeks turkeys and other items for Thanksgiving meals

Parsippany, NJ: The Interfaith Food Pantry and Resource Center (IFP) is now accepting donations of frozen turkeys, large chickens and hams, as well as side dishes such as stuffing, vegetables, and other items for their Thanksgiving Basket Program. The IFP is also seeking supermarket gift cards and funds to purchase items in short supply. The Pantry will begin distributing food on November 1, and will continue through November 22nd. In 2016, they supplied more than 1,600 families Morris County families with complete meals.

Local business, houses of worship, schools, scouts and civic groups conducting food drives are being encouraged to contact the IFP Office to schedule large drop offs. Individual donations can be dropped off at the IFP Pantry and Resource Center at 2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains, NJ 07950, Monday – Thursday from 9:30am-4:30pm. Extended hours will be offered as the holiday draws closer. The full schedule, directions, and a list of needed items can be found on the Pantry’s website at www.mcifp.org.
