Jackknifed Tractor Closes Lanes Of Rt. 287 North

Breaking: Your Friday night commute home might take a little longer than normal.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — You might be ready to get a jump start on your weekend, but getting home could take longer than usual: a jackknifed tractor trailer is snarling traffic on Route 287 northbound.

The crash happened near Exit 35 in Morristown, and is causing "major delays," police say. All lanes were closed for 25 minutes, with two lanes reopening around 3:45 p.m., Morristown police said. Drivers should still expect heavy delays.

Morristown Police are warning drivers of heavy traffic on James Street, Harter Road and Route 202 north as cars look to avoid traffic.
