African American Art Exhibit Founder Honored By Morris County
Viki Craig, co-founder of Art in the Atrium (ATA), was honored with a plaque unveiled in Morristown by members of the Morris County Board of County Commissioners. The event took place at the Morris County Administration and Records Building in Morristown, where ATA was founded 30 years ago. Charles Craig and Lauren LeBeaux Craig, Viki Craig's husband and daughter, hosted the ceremony alongside Morris Arts Director of Galleries Lynn Seibert.

Morristown Mourns Sudden Death Of Retired PBA Local 43 Member
Morristown PBA Local 43 members mourn the death of a retired member, Al Reed, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 26. He was 78 years old. Reed served in the Morristown Police Department for many years, joining the force in 1972 as a special police officer. He was born to Bertha Mae and Arlin Williams on March 23, 1944, in Hot Springs Arkansas, according to his obituary.
The Morristown Council has proposed a ban on gas-powered leaf blowers, which would explicitly prohibit their use during the summer months. Gas-powered blowers are in violation of the town council's noise ordinance, which was passed last year. From June to September, the proposed amendment to the ordinance would prohibit the use of gas-powered blowers, which violate the town's noise ordinance. If it passes a second reading on July 12 the prohibition will take effect the following summer.
Stack Creamery's Grand Opening Delayed In Morristown
The grand opening of an ice cream shop in Morristown that sells highly customizable ice cream sandwiches made entirely from homemade ingredients has been postponed. Stack Creamery, which first opened its doors in Westwood and also has a location in Jersey City, was scheduled to open at 48 Washington Street in Morristown during the week of July 4, but that date has been pushed back.
