Join Families Walking Together: Stroll & Roll
Join other parents, kids, grandparents and pets for a walk through some of the best park trails in Northern New Jersey.
On Sunday June 5th, join other families in a special walking event called "Stroll & Roll" celebrating the natural beauty of public parks and trails. The FreeWalkers, a non-profit dedicated to getting everyone walking, is hosting a special “family walk” in Echo Lake Park, Mountainside, NJ, encouraging the entire family to walk together and appreciate the beauty of multi-purpose trails.
According to the event co-leader, Risa Olinsky of Maplewood, “We welcome everyone in the family of any age and encourage the use of strollers, carriages, bicycles and wheelchairs. In other words, everyone should come and join us if they can move on their own or someone else can help them. It's good for you and for everyone you love.”
Yohana Osorio, the event leader working on activities, would like to remind the public “The event is FREE and open to everyone. We have some great games and surprises for the family to participate in. There will also be park staff and naturalists around to answer your questions about the trail and the parks we will be walking.”
