Kathleen Margiotta Joins the Board of Trustees of the Morris County Historical Society

Ms. Margiotta brings extensive environmental, horticultural, and programmatic experience to help further the work of the Society.

The Morris County Historical Society at Acorn Hall announces that Kathleen Margiotta has joined the Society’s Board of Trustees for a four-year term. Ms. Margiotta brings extensive environmental, horticultural, and programmatic expertise to the Board. She is an environmental educator for the Town of Morristown and an arbor technician for Richview Arbor Services. Ms. Margiotta is also owner and instructor at Yoga-To-Go.

Ms. Margiotta currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Morristown Beautiful, Inc., and volunteers on the Morristown Recreation Committee and at the Ralston Cider Mill Museum in Mendham Township. Additionally, she is a Rutgers Cooperative Extension Master Gardener, who provides landscape design and consultation to local Morris County landscapers. Ms. Margiotta completed her undergraduate degree studies at Longwood University (VA) and Fairleigh Dickinson University. A Chester Township resident, Ms. Margiotta was born in Morristown and raised in Morris Plains. In her free time, she enjoys numerous outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and kayaking.

The Morris County Historical Society, founded in 1945, is a member supported 501 (c)3 organization whose mission is to discover, preserve, promote, and interpret the history of Morris County and New Jersey as it relates to Morris County through events, programs, exhibits, publications, and preservation advocacy.
