Keys to the Show: Pulitzer Winners to Headline Morristown Festival of Books

Husband and wife, co-authors of four books to take the stage at Mayo Performing Arts Center Oct. 2.

The Morristown Festival of Books has announced its keynote speakers to kickoff the second annual event, and the duo of authors has three Pulitzer Prizes between them.

Nicholas D. Kristof and his wife, Sheryl WuDunn, will headline the event set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 at the Mayo Performing Arts Center.

The following day, downtown Morristown will be filled with 25 authors speaking to readers and signing books at separate venues within walking distance of each other.

Kristof, a columnist for the New York Times since 2001, is a two-time Pulitzer winner. Kristof won his first Pulitzer alongside his wife, WuDunn, for their coverage of China’s Tiananmen Square movement. Kristof then won a second Pulitzer for his reporting on the genocide in Darfur in 2006.

WuDunn, a former Times columnist, has co-authored four books with her husband: A Path Appears, Half the Sky, Thunder from the East, and China Wakes.

Tickets for the event are $35 per adult and $12 per student. All adult tickets include one autographed copy of A Path Appears.
