UPDATE: Woman Dies in Morristown, N.J. House Fire Sunday
Homeowner was pulled from the scene and was pronounced dead soon after, prosecutor says.

A Morristown woman died because of injuries sustained in a house fire early Sunday morning on Shady Lane, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced.
An investigation between the town police and prosecutor’s office has been launched, Knapp said. The fire occurred at 1 Shady Lane and killed the female owner, whose name has not been released by authorities.
No cause has been determined, and the prosecutor’s office does not anticipate any further information Sunday. The blaze was knocked down by Morristown Firefighters.

The Morristown Green identified the victim as Teresa Sgaramella, a gardener with a great sense of humor.
One woman from the neighborhood told the Morristown Green that her husband had visited with Sgaramella, whom she described as in her early 80s and living alone, just on Saturday. He wanted to get a recipe for Italian almond cookies.
