Legionnaires' Disease Found At Morris Co. Nursing Home: Report

Only one patient was sickened, reports say.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — One patient was diagnosed with Legionnaires' disease while staying at a Morris Township nursing home, the Daily Record reported.

The patient at Morris View Healthcare was the only one of the 283 patients to be diagnosed with the disease. They showed no symptoms, but were diagnosed during an unrelated hospital trip, county officials told the paper.

A contaminated tap in the patients room reportedly caused the infection; preventative measures have been taken already, officials reportedly said.
