Local Law Enforcement Veteran Awarded By Morris County
Agent Gary Gouck worked in law enforcement for 47 years, beginning in 1975 with the Randolph Township Police Department.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A longtime law enforcement veteran was honored for his achievements during his 20-year career with the office during a ceremony early this week by Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and other local officials.
Agent Gary Gouck has been a leader and expert in the field of vehicular homicide investigation during his 47 years in law enforcement, the last 20 of which have been with the MCPO. He began his career in law enforcement in 1975 with the Randolph Township Police Department, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant before retiring in 2002.
Throughout his career, Gouck has investigated thousands of motor vehicle crashes, 300 of which resulted in fatalities.

Gouck is the leading resource for law enforcement in Morris County and continues to lead the field in motor vehicle crash investigations. He also teaches crash investigation courses at the state level and participates in federal crash reconstruction organizations.
“The experience and institutional knowledge that Agent Gouck brings to the table has been instrumental in the effectiveness of our Vehicular Homicide Unit. Understanding the value of sharing this experience and knowledge, Agent Gouck makes it a point to actively mentor other investigators in this specialty field to ensure unit success for years to come,” Carroll said.

Gouck has directly participated in the training and mentoring of over 35 Morris County law enforcement officers, which has increased the experience level of crash reconstruction investigators and, as a result, the quality of service provided to the public.
