Major Road Closure In Morristown Through Thursday Night Drive

Breaking: Drivers should take another route.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A power failure and utility repair is causing road closures and delays in Morristown Thursday, police said.

The westbound lane of South Street (Rt. 124) was closed between Madison and Miller Streets for an emergency utility repair during the morning rush hour. One lane will reopen westbound going into the evening rush hour, officials said.

The eastbound lanes have remained open, but drivers should expect traffic and heavy delays around town, police said.
