MORRISTOWN, NJ ā A person is dead after a hit-and-run involving a truck in Morris County, according to prosecutors.
On Friday, around 7 a.m., police were called to Sussex Avenue in Morristown on a report that a pedestrian was pinned under a truck, officials said.

Authorities said the driver of the truck jumped out and fled on foot following the incident.
The hit-and-run victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to prosecutors.

Morris County Sheriffās Office K-9 and Crime Scene Units are investigating the incident, and the driver remains at-large as of 2 p.m. Friday.
