Missing For 21 Years From Morristown, Police Seek Help Finding Man

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown and state agencies seek the public's help in the search for a man last seen more than 20 years ago.

James Garfield Broome was last sighted in Morristown in 2001, according to New Jersey State Police. He also previously lived in Jersey City, authorities said.

State Police posted an age-progression photo (see above) of Broome, who is now 66. Authorities described him as a Black man with brown eyes, who stands 5 feet, 6 inches.

Patch asked State Police for more details about the missing-persons case, but a spokesperson deferred to Morristown law enforcement. Patch reached out to the Morristown Department of Public Safety and will update with any response.
