Man Peered Into Morris Co. Apartment Window, Police Say

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County man has been arrested after peering into people's apartments, police said.

On Sept. 8, around 9 p.m., a police officer was on routine patrol near an apartment complex in Budd Lake when he noticed a man walking between apartments before stopping and peering into the window of one of them, authorities said.

Police were able to identify the man as Dylan Martell, 29, of Budd Lake, officials said. He had trespassed on the apartment complex's property before, authorities added.

Investigators learned that the apartment complex Martell was peering into was occupied, officials said.

Days later, on this past Saturday, detectives found Martell at his home and placed him under arrest. He was charged with criminal trespass and was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court hearing.
