Man Who Sent Nude Pics To NJ Cop Posing As Teen Faces Judge

The man, thinking he was chatting with a 13-year-old girl, was actually sexting a police officer.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Maryland man who sexted someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl was sentenced to prison this week.

Cristobal Slobodzian, 38, of Hyattsville, Maryland, was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in explicit online chats.

An investigation into Slobodzian began in July 2025, when he engaged in online chats with an undercover Morris County police officer pretending to be a 13-year-old, officials said.

In those online conversations, Slobodzian had “sexually explicit conversations” with the 13-year-old persona and sent several photos of his genitals, according to investigators.

Authorities discovered Slobodzian to be a resident of Prince George’s County in Maryland, and coordinated a search warrant execution of his home with the Prince George’s County Police Department.

He was arrested by Maryland police and charged with attempted sexual assault, attempted endangering the welfare of a child, and attempted obscenity.

In March, Slobodzian took a plea deal and pleaded guilty to third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree obscenity.

When released, Slobodzian is required to adhere to Megan’s Law and parole supervision for life.
