Child Porn Distribution Charge Filed Against Morris Co. Man

Igor Michael Terrero shared more than 85 media files, including images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, authorities said. 

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County man has been arrested on child pornography charges, the U.S. Attorney's office announced Monday.

Igor Michael Terrero, 49, of Succasunna, was charged with one count of distributing child pornography, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said.

Terrero appeared in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Jessica S. Allen via videoconference on Monday and was released on a $100,000 unsecured bond, with home detention and electronic monitoring, according to police.

An investigation by police discovered that Terrero had more than 85 videos and material depicting the sexual abuse of children, according to authorities. The 49-year-old possessed the material from Aug. 30, 2021, to April 20, 2022, and then distributed it, authorities said.

The charge of distributing child pornography depicting prepubescent children carries a mandatory minimum prison sentence of five years, a maximum prison sentence of twenty years and a $250,000 fine.

U.S. Attorney Sellinger credited the special agents of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, New Jersey Division, postal inspectors with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in Newark Philadelphia Division; the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Roxbury Township Police with the investigation leading to the charge.
