Morris County Elections Office to Have Extended Hours Tuesday
Morris County Residents are encouraged to register to vote.

Despite which presidential candidate you plan to vote for, if you're not registered to vote by Tuesday, Oct. 18, you won't be able to vote at all. Morris County Election Officials are encouraging residents to register for the general election and will extend the Morris County Elections Office hours Tuesday.
Instead of closing at 4:30 p.m., the office will stay open until 9 p.m. Tuesday to give county residents every possible chance to register before the deadline. The office is located at 10 Court Street in Morristown.
Residents can also go to their local town halls and register to vote at the Municipal Clerk's Office.

Oct. 18 is also the deadline for changes to be for personal information. Residents are asked to make sure their addresses and legal names are up to date.
“A voter may move or change his or her name and forget to notify us,” Morris County Board of Elections Administrator Dale Kramer said. “As a result, their name may not be in the poll book at their new polling place, and they may have difficulty voting. By updating their information now, they can avoid confusion at the polls.”
